Bridges slated for re­place­ment

Staff Lo­cal res­i­dents are en­cour­aged to pro­vide com­ments on the Min­istry of Trans­porta­tion (MTO)’s pro­posed re­place­ment of two High­way 401 un­der­passes in South Glen­garry. The dead­line to sub­mit com­ments is Fe­bru­ary 26.

The bridges at 2nd Line (West­ley) Road and 3rd Line (Bainsville) Road are among four in Stor­mont, Dun­das and Glen­garry sched­uled for sim­i­lar work.

The Pitt Street over­pass in Corn­wall is slated for re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion, while the Flagg Road un­der­pass in Mor­ris­burg will also be re­placed.

The MTO has re­tained MMM Group Ltd. to com­plete pre­lim­i­nary de­tail de­sign and en­vi­ron­men­tal as­sess­ment stud­ies for the projects.
