CLG Run set for Sept. 17

Staff In addition to making a financial donation, North Glengarry will provide in-kind support to Community Living Glengarry’s 50th Anniversary Community Run September 17.
As a corporate sponsor, the township will help with the setup for the run, install barricades and provide volunteers for the event, “Community RUNningCourseCommUNITÉ.”
Public works crews have erected banners along County Road 34 to promote the race.
It will also arrange to temporarily close sections of St. George Street West, Main Street/ County Road 34, McDougall St. West, Macdonald Boulevard, Leroux Street, Industrial Boulevard and Touchette Street. The township expects the designated streets to be closed for about 30 or 40 minutes during the event that begins at 9 a.m.
Both the 5-kilometre and onekilometre races start and finish at the Tim Hortons Dome. The Ontario Provincial Police will provide traffic patrol as needed. The municipality will produce and deliver informational leaflets to residents along the race route. The township has donated $ 2,500 to CLG and
