We should count our blessings

The Editor, Now that I am retired, I appreciate more the good days that follow the bad.

Sometimes, it’s time spent with a very sick family member, trying to comfort here in her weakness and pain, and seeing the gratitude on her smiling face. On the Labour Day weekend (at the Tabac Jr.’s Little Nashville Country Fest in Alexandria, any country music fan will agree how soothing and uplifting are “real life” songs, like Coat Of Many Colours, The Dance, How Great Thou Art, and Look at Us, to name a few. What better way to complete this weekend than celebrating a beautiful Mass of thanksgiving for all God’s blessings? We are very fortunate to participate in this gathering.

Gloria Poirier, Alexandria
