Bus pre-trial

A pre-trial hear­ing will be held in Corn­wall on Oc­to­ber 26 for the driver of a dou­ble-decker bus in­volved in a col­li­sion on High­way 401 in South Glen­garry last sum­mer.

Gary Gra­ham, 64, of Lom­bardy, Ont., was charged with care­less driv­ing last De­cem­ber fol­low­ing the June 23 in­ci­dent in which he al­legedly rear-ended a west­bound trac­tor-trailer, east of Lan­cas­ter, caus­ing the bus to leave the road and end up in the ditch among a clus­ter of trees.

Half of the 45 pas­sen­gers on the Me­gabus-op­er­ated ve­hi­cle were in­jured, at least four se­ri­ously. The bus was head­ing from Mon­tréal to Toronto at the time of the crash.
