Ju­nior ‘B’ Glens in a fog

On Thurs­day night, the Alexan­dria ju­nior ‘B’ Glens hit the ice in Cas­sel­man to play the Vik­ings, but it didn’t last long, as the match was called af­ter just seven minute due to un­playable con­di­tions.

It was a fog-out at the Bris­son arena, caused be the un­sea­son­ably hu­mid con­di­tions out­side, forc­ing the match to be scrubbed and bounced to Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m.

The Glens en­tered the Vikes’ home barn win­less in the early go­ing of the 2016-17 cam­paign, hav­ing lost twice to open the sea­son at the CCHL2 show­case the pre­vi­ous week­end.

Last night, the boys were sched­uled to play on the road against the Ot­tawa Cana­di­ans, with the re­sult not avail­able be­fore press time. Up­dates will be posted to our web­site.

Home opener Fri­day

On Fri­day, Sept. 16, the Glens will fi­nally have their home opener, slated to host the 2-1 Met­calfe Jets, start­ing at 8 p.m.

Lo­cal mem­bers of the squad in­clude Alexan­dria’s Austin Ladouceur, who wears jersey num­ber 12.

He’s a 5 ft. 11 in., 185 lb. for­ward, who turned 17 years of age last month.

Half of the goal­tend­ing tan­dem is North Lan­cas­ter’s Ni­cholas Rousseau. The 17-year-old checks in at 6ft. 2 in., 183 lb. His jersey is num­ber 1.

Ap­ple Hill’s Adam Pa­que­tte plays on de­fence.

Also 17 years old, the blue­liner stands 5 ft 10 in, 160 lb. and wears jersey num­ber 5.
