Enduro caps Speedway season
The Fireball Enduro was completed in front of a sellout crowd, as 281 cars registered for the weekend races at the Cornwall Motor Speedway.
The ladies 4- cylinder class started the afternoon, with 32 cars taking part in the 50-lap event. Chelsea Cholette dominated the race, lapping the field, to win the division.
The 6-cylinder division took the track with 60 cars registered. When all 50 laps were completed, Dakota Belanger from Winchester had the win.
Up next was the mini- van event, a 25-lapper. Brett Campbell was victorious, driving his #12 van.
The first of two 50- lap 4cylinder races saw 60 cars take the green, as Phil Germain went on to capture the crown. There was a lot of action in this event, with just a dozen cars still running at the finish.
Next, the 8-cylinder cars were on the track with their 50-lap event. Starting from the 30th position, Jesse Thompson stormed through the field to win the division.
The final race of the afternoon was the second group of 4cylinders, with 74 cars at the start. Jamie Scharf was tops at the end, with only four cars able to finish the event.
The enduro put a cap on the 2016 season at the dirt track. The Lavergne family would like to thank everyone for their support this summer, adding racing will return in 2017 in full force.
