Three res­i­dents of St. Jerome, Que. were re­cently ar­rested as the re­sult of a Corn­wall Re­gional Task Force (CRTF) in­ves­ti­ga­tion in South Glen­garry.

Jonathan Boulay, 22, David Dore, 33, and Nancy Slavin­ski, 42, were each charged un­der the pro­vi­sions of the fed­eral Ex­cise Act as well as the pro­vin­cial

Tobacco Tax Act fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop on De­cem­ber 20 in which of­fi­cers seized 3,080 kilo­grams of il­le­gal fine-cut tobacco from the cube van in which they were trav­el­ling.

Ms. Slavin­ski also faces three drug- re­lated charges – two counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and one count of pos­ses­sion.

All three sus­pects were re­leased from cus­tody and are sched­uled to ap­pear in Corn­wall court Jan­uary 31.
