STRAIGHT STRAIGHT TALK
How did the nasty weather affect your travel plans over the Christmas holidays?
Joel Menard, Alexandria:
Normally I like the cold weather because I like to go snowmobiling. But I missed a party at my mother’s on Boxing Day because of the freezing rain.
Richard Lalonde, Bainsville:
I don’t think the weather has been that bad and it hasn’t affected my plans in any way. I went to Ottawa on Christmas Eve and I went to Montreal on Christmas Day and I had my family in Bainsville for three days after that.
Olive Guindon, Maxville:
I just stayed at home and I didn’t drive anywhere. I was going to go see my sister in Montreal but I changed my mind because the roads were too bad.
Anne Lalonde, Green Valley:
It didn’t really affect me because I stayed close to home and I wound up spending a lot of time shovelling snow out of the driveway.
Debbie Robertson, Lancaster:
For me, everything was local so it worked out fine. I feel sorry for the ones who had to travel.
Julie Bourgon, Glen Walter:
It took 45 minutes to get to my in-laws in Cornwall on Boxing Day. Usually it takes 15 minutes. We were careful.
