The massed fid­dlers are al­ways en­joyed at the Tat­too. 3. Canada’s first Prime Min­is­ter, Sir John A. Mac­don­ald, could be seen wan­der­ing the fair­grounds. 4. Adele Leahy plays the fid­dle dur­ing a Leahy Next Gen­er­a­tion con­cert in the Maxville arena on Satur­day. The com­bi­na­tion of mu­sic and step­danc­ing led to a stand­ing ova­tion. 5. The Cape Bre­ton Fid­dlers played in the Met­calfe Cen­tre on Fri­day night. 6. Corn­wall’s Vic­to­ria Pataky-Saucier played in Satur­day’s girls’ rugby game. 7. Rita DeNo­briga of Maxville marches off the field with fel­low Toronto Po­lice drum corps mem­bers at the Massed Bands Awards Pre­sen­ta­tion. Ms. DeNo­briga is cham­pion supreme for snare drum­ming in On­tario and a for­mer mem­ber of the Grade 3 Glen­garry Pipe Band. She won Ama­teur Drum­mer of the Day. 8. Nico Sta­ples, 12, mem­ber of the Ot­tawa-based By­towne Blues rugby team, in ac­tion. 9. El­iz­a­beth Wood, 15, of St. An­drew’s and Lau­ren Four­ney, 17, of Lan­caster, pre­pare for their High­land Danc­ing com­pe­ti­tion.
