MP’s Alexandria office closed
Glengarry-Prescott-Russell MP Francis Drouin’s Alexandria office will remain closed until Sept. 5 while a new constituency assistant completes her training.
Mr. Drouin’s Executive Assistant, Paul Wernick, says that Rockland resident Judith Simard will begin working at the Alexandria office, at the North Glengarry town hall, 90 Main St. S., on the day after Labour Day.
The office is usually open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The brief closure was necessary after former constituency assistant Gabriel Farmer left earlier this month in order to resume his education.
Mr. Wernick says that the training will ensure that Ms. Simard is able to deal with a number of local concerns including passport issues and immigration.
