This spring has been so busy that we’ve barely been able to cover all the amazing events taking place in Glengarry. Top left: Llyr Harris, Michael Macchiagodena, Gareth Davies, Keirra Poulin, and Anastazjia Ayotte, do a car wash fundraiser for the Lancaster Air Cadet Squadron. They are shown washing a 1973 Corvette Stingray owned by South Lancaster resident Kerry Sinnott. Top right, Tagwi Grade 7 students Katrina Tripp-Kildeen and Sydney Mount had fun on the splash pad during Tagwipalooza, their school’s year-end celebration. Bottom left, GDHS Grade 7 students Keira Kennedy and Rowen McCormick with their original sandwich, the Dorky Porky, which consists of pork with brie, apples, spinach, honey dijon and mustard. The pair’s sandwich was featured at the Quirky Carrot last month. Their sandwich was picked from about 20 other submissions as part of Food Revolution Day. Bottom right, Davin Este, 11, of Apple Hill got a free airplane ride courtesy of Peter Gervais of St. Andrews at the Cornwall Regional Airport last month. It’s a bi-annual event put on by the Cornwall Flying Club. The event is sponsored by the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.
