McCormick wins Kilt Run

The third an­nual Up The Glens Kilt Run was held Aug. 4 as part of the Glen­garry High­land Games in Maxville, with 72 par­tic­i­pants com­plet­ing the 5 km course.

An­drew McCormick had the best time over­all, fin­ish­ing in 19 min­utes, 24 sec­onds, to edge out Matthew Houlzet by just one se­cond.

Stephen Hag­gerty was third

(18:49), fol­lowed by last year’s win­ner Glen Camp­bell (19:40), and Daryl Howes (21:02).

Zoë McIn­tosh was the top fe­male run­ner, cross­ing the fin­ish line at 23:19, with Cal­lie Smith in tow at 23:24.

Round­ing out the top 10 were Tim Hut­ton (23:27), Kather­ine Weaver ( 24: 33), and Re­becca Howes (24:54).
