Kemptville Alumni Build­ing con­struc­tion starts

The Kemptville Col­lege Alumni has turned the sod for the Kemptville Col­lege Alumni His­tor­i­cal Build­ing, which is sched­uled to be in­au­gu­rated dur­ing a re­union next year.

A sod-turn­ing cer­e­mony took place re­cently at the Lom­bardy Agri­cul­tural Fair Grounds near Smiths Falls, where the yearly alumni re­union is held.

Over 70 peo­ple at­tended the sod turn­ing while 175 at­tended the re­union ban­quet that evening.

Fundrais­ing started after the build­ing was ap­proved last Au­gust.

Fi­nan­cial con­trib­u­tors will re­ceive a char­i­ta­ble re­ceipt and names will be dis­played in the new build­ing and on the web page.

Alumni, and busi­nesses and or­ga­ni­za­tions sup­ported by Kemptville grads, can sup­port the cam­paign by send­ing cheques to Kim Link, Trea­surer, 12261 Link Road, Winch­ester ON K0C 2K0.
