Brendon Watson, who hails from Bainsville, was recently recognized as the winner of the U18 Cornwall Colts skills competition. He also helped his intra-squad Team Blue prevail.

The 16-year-old blueliner is in his second season with the club. Thus far in the campaign, he’s recorded 3 points and 19 penalty minutes, in 12 games, with the last-place U18 Colts.

The back-to-back defeats tighten up the Martin Division standings, as Char-Lan (7-5-1-1) enters week eight in third place, just one point better than league rival Alexandria.

On tap this weekend are a pair of home dates. First, on Nov. 3 at 8 p.m., the Rebels will host the Casselman Vikings (11-3-0-0). Sunday, at 3:30 p.m., the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians (9-5-1-0) will visit.
