Paint night for SVDP
If you’ve ever wanted to try painting but never got around to it, then you may want to come out to The Atlantic restaurant in Alexandria Sunday, Dec. 9.
Art instructor Navy Chadsey, who has a business called Create With Navy, will be leading a “paint night” there from 3 to 5 p.m. as a benefit for the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s food bank.
Ms. Chadsey lives in Embrun but grew up in Dalkeith and attended Glengarry District High School. She organized the event to give something back to her community and “to ensure that people are fed this holiday season.”
Whether you’re a seasoned painter or have never even picked up a brush, you are welcome to attend. “A lot of people are intimidated by art,” she says. “But I love hearing stories about people uncovering passions or hidden talents at paint nights.”
She will guide her audience through the painting process. Everyone will paint a winter scene depicting a mountainside cabin surrounded by trees.
