18 at open house
Eighteen people attended South Glengarry’s s building and planning department’s fall open house in Lancaster. Apart from staff and three councillors, two designers and two contractors were in attendance. The rest were members of the general public. Sessions are held in the spring and fall, and are open to the public, contractors, architects, professional engineers, designers, etc. They are held to provide information about the building permit process, changes to the Building Code, and pertinent municipal bylaws, as well as both site plan control and minor variance processes.
