Good morning, Dalkeith. What a roller coaster of weather we are having. The horses were actually sweating on the ride this morning. Getting the perfect shot for the Christmas card is really challenging with no sun to make things merry and bright. There is a magnificent pumpkin sitting in the squash patch in fear of a meltdown waiting to be immortalized in digital photo. Cinderella and I are going to have our first lesson in two months next week. I hope we can start the canter lesson then. I just need the right commands to give her, so she doesn’t get offended and buck me off. Winter is the best time for iffy moves, as one is wearing extra clothing.
The Dalkeith Historical Society’s Cookie Sale is today (Nov. 28) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scotiabank in Vankleek Hill. Straight from the oven to you! Get
your Christmas cookie supply now! Local honey for sale! DHS memberships for 2019 are also available. See you there!
Time to stuff the food drive boxes that are popping up in the shops. Cash donations work well and often will translate into more bang for the buck in purchasing power. Be patient as shoppers crowd the aisles; deep breaths and count your blessings one by one. Open your heart and let the love flow in. From Breadalbane with love, Maggie.
