Festival revival is great news

The Glengarry News - - The Opinion Page -

The Editor, What great news you published in the January 30 edition. This wonderful news is the article headed “Festival of Lights revived.” How super to me was the word “revived.” As well, funds are proposed pending presentation at the February council meeting.

It was so dark in the park during the festive season of 2018. I very much support that a portion of my property taxes be allocated for the continued creation of the festival of lights, bringing to each and everyone of us, regardless of age, an emotional seasonal support of natural-setting delight.

It was appropriate that the year 2018, being the 100th anniversary of the First World War, that our holiday Festival of Lights and park be in darkness. A tribute of thankful commemoration. All positive best to Anne Leduc, Director of North Glengarry’s Community Services when she presents to Council.

Suzanne Blackburn, Alexandria
