Crybaby Cup helps hospice
The 2019 edition of the Crybaby Cup men’s recreational hockey tournament raised $600 that will be going to the Cornwall hospice.
Held on March 23 in Maxville, the daylong event featured six teams vying for cash prizes, whilst supporting the cause.
In the ‘A’ final that capped off the day, the Weekend Warriors defeated Deke and Squeak.
The ‘B’ final saw the host AJK Highland Travellers douse the Flames, while in the ‘C’ final, the Moose Heads beat Pound Town.
The Maxville Lions Club co-hosted, serving up a buffet breakfast
The Lions Club and AJK express their thanks to all who supported the breakfast and the hockey tournament.
Brad Quaile, one of the AJK team members, says the club continues to raise funds on behalf of Maxville’s Bobby MacLeod, “who is having a tough battle with cancer.”
The Crybaby Cup is held annually, marking the end to the hockey season in Maxville.
