$100 K Club grows
The number of area public employees in the area receiving $100,000 or more continued to rise in 2018, according to the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
Near the top of the list was Martin Lavigne, business superintendent and treasurer with Le Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien, who was paid $377,250.
Among the top earners again last year was Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, medical officer of health and chief executive officer of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, who was paid $333,953, compared to $327,371 in 2017.
Hospital and school board officials dominated the $100 K list in this region.
At the Upper Canada District School Board, top earners included director Stephen Sliwa, $237,783, superintendents Timothy Mills, Jeremy Hobbs and David Coombs, $173,481 and superintendent Jodie Barrett, $173,043.
At the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, director John Cameron was paid $230,098; associate director Bonnie Norton, $242,681; superintendent Natalie Cameron, $175,386; superintendent Donaleen Hawes $170,589.
At Le Conseil des écoles publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario, the top money makers were director Edith Dumont, $229,089; superintendent Stéphane Vachon, $224,474; superintendent Jean-Pierre Dufour, $231,685; superintendent Ann Mahoney $213,122.
At Le Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l'est ontarien, some of the big money makers were director François Turpin, $247,704; superintendent Alain Martel, $283,958; superintendent France Lamarche, $288,378; superintendent Lyne Racine, $255,887.
At the Children's Aid Society of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, executive director Rachel Daigneault was paid $177,814, while quality assurance manager Natalie Fouquette received $125,221 and service manager Kimberly Gill $117,101.
In North Glengarry, CAO Sarah Huskinson was paid $119,906 and public works director Ryan Morton $106,995.
In South Glengarry, when he was CAO, Bryan Brown was paid $136,556. General manager of infrastructure services Ewen MacDonald got $107,332 and community services manager Joanne Haley $107,225.
At the united counties of Stormont-DundasGlengarry, the list included CAO Timothy Simpson, $174,498; Benjamin De Haan, director of transportation and planning, $144,999; treasurer Vanessa Metcalfe, $144,999; manager of operations Trevor Baker was paid $100,776, Helen Thomson, clerk, $100,144.
In North Stormont, treasurer Catherine Borelly-Vincent was paid $103,288.
Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry MPP Jim McDonell was paid $124,976.
At the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, making the list were Patricia Gauley, director of health promotion and prevention, $149,936; Nicole Laplante, director of health promotion, $161,037; Frank Spagnolo, director of finance, $138,816; Thérèse Bourgeois, director, corporate services, $130,521. At Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital, the list included: Former CEO Linda Morrow, $117,717; Linda Ramsay, Chief Financial Officer, $113,548; Kim Woods, VP Clinical Services, $103,490. At Winchester District Memorial Hospital, the $100 K Club members included: Michelle Blouin, Chief Financial Officer, $161,460; CEO Cholly Boland, $245,083; Lynn Hall, VP, Clinical Services, $161,460.
