Holy Trinity Secondary School’s drama department is in the midst of some fairly big accomplishments.

For one thing, it’s gearing up for its musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, which runs at the school May 16-18.

For another, it’s preparing to send its one-act play, One Way Bridge, to the regional drama festival at the Thousand Islands Playhouse in Gananoque on April 26.

Holy Trinity qualified for the regionals at the local competition in March, which was, coincidentally, held at HT.

It’s just par for the course for the young theatre folks at Holy Trinity, who have qualified for the regional one-act festival for the past five years and even made it to the provincial showcase for two of those years.

One Way Bridge, which boasts a cast and crew of 45 people, is about a young man’s descent into madness as he drives down a lonely highway.
