Theft, drug charges
The Cornwall Community Police Service arrested a pair of Alexandria residents last week after they allegedly tried to steal undisclosed items from a business on Brookdale Avenue April 1.
Melanie L’Archevesque, 39, was charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace), while Robin Rozon, 40, was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of methamphetamine, and assault, after he allegedly attacked a loss prevention officer in the store before the pair fled.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court May 9.
Cornwall police arrested Corey Fortier, 49, of Maxville April 2 on the strength of an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident last September in which he allegedly made threats to a male acquaintance. He is scheduled to appear in court May 7.
Cornwall Police charged a 16year-old Alexandria youth with break and enter after he allegedly entered a local school without permission, damaged property and took a laptop on the evening of April 13.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
