Theft, drug charges

The Corn­wall Com­mu­nity Po­lice Ser­vice ar­rested a pair of Alexan­dria res­i­dents last week af­ter they al­legedly tried to steal undis­closed items from a busi­ness on Brook­dale Av­enue April 1.

Melanie L’Archevesqu­e, 39, was charged with theft un­der $5,000 and breach of pro­ba­tion (for fail­ing to keep the peace), while Robin Ro­zon, 40, was charged with theft un­der $5,000, pos­ses­sion of metham­phetamine, and as­sault, af­ter he al­legedly at­tacked a loss preven­tion of­fi­cer in the store be­fore the pair fled.

Both sus­pects are sched­uled to ap­pear in court May 9.


Corn­wall po­lice ar­rested Corey Fortier, 49, of Maxville April 2 on the strength of an out­stand­ing war­rant stem­ming from an in­ci­dent last Septem­ber in which he al­legedly made threats to a male ac­quain­tance. He is sched­uled to ap­pear in court May 7.


Corn­wall Po­lice charged a 16year-old Alexan­dria youth with break and en­ter af­ter he al­legedly en­tered a lo­cal school with­out per­mis­sion, dam­aged prop­erty and took a lap­top on the evening of April 13.

The sus­pect is sched­uled to ap­pear in court at a later date.
