Nadeau to be hon­oured

Al­ready a mem­ber of the Glen­garry Sports Hall of Fame, Alexan­dria’s Joanne Nadeau has been named as a 2019 in­ductee of the On­tario 5-Pin Bowlers’ As­so­ci­a­tion Hall of Fame, an honour she is sched­uled to re­ceive in Novem­ber, in Hamil­ton.

Nadeau is one of 10 in­di­vid­u­als to be se­lected.

Stu­dent ath­letes from le Re­lais re­cently com­peted in a track and field meet in Rus­sell.

Amongst the ath­letes in­volved was Tris­tan Ro­chon, who placed se­cond in 100 m hur­dles (17.27 s). He also com­peted in long jump, triple jump, and the 4-x-100 m re­lay.

Gabrielle Em­mons won the girls javelin (24.45 m), Eric Cum­ber­batch topped the field in the boys triple jump (12.30 m) and was se­cond in long jump (5.92 m), Patrick Cum­ber­batch was third in high jump (1.70 m).
