Green Drinks in Alexandria

Green Drinks, ac­tive in 517 cities world­wide, is branch­ing out to Alexandria.

Formed fol­low­ing a suc­cess­ful Glen­garry Earth Day, Green Drinks Alexandria “is open to any­one who wants to dis­cuss en­vi­ron­men­tal is­sues and so­lu­tions,” reads an in­vi­ta­tion from or­ga­niz­ers.

“Let’s grow the net­work of green or sus­tain­abilty-minded peo­ple in our re­gion,” says the group, ini­ti­ated by Earth Day or­ga­nizer Deb­o­rah Wad­dell. “The event is not af­fil­i­ated with any po­lit­i­cal party, al­though politi­cians are wel­come.”

Gath­er­ings will be held on the third Tues­day of ev­ery month with the first set for June 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the North Glen­garry Restau­rant.
