Alzheimers Walk nets $7K
Nearly 100 people attended the annual Walk for Alzheimers at the Tim Hortons Dome in Alexandria on Sunday, raising just over $7,000 in the process.
Following a brief opening ceremony that was attended by North Glengarry Mayor Jamie MacDonald and Glengarry-Prescott-Russell MP Francis Drouin, as well as representatives from the Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District, the walkers took to the track for about 45 minutes of walking. In the meantime, the inside of the track played host to a number of children’s activities including indoor soccer, inflatable structures, and Sparky the Fire Dog.
This year’s event title sponsor was IG Wealth Management.
