Fal­cons scoop up soc­cer sil­ver at EOSSAA

The Holy Trin­ity Fal­cons se­nior girls 'AA' soc­cer team com­pleted the round-robin por­tion of last week's EOSSAA tour­na­ment with two wins, fin­ish­ing first in their pool. The Fal­cons de­feated Em­brun and Thou­sand Is­lands, both by a score of 1-0. The goal scor­ers were Mor­gan Zap­pia in game one and Kelly Bris­sard in game two, while Madi­son Ruffo earned both shutouts.

HT moved on to play Arnprior in the semi­fi­nal and once again was vic­to­ri­ous, and punched a ticket to the EOSSAA fi­nal with a 1-0 vic­tory. Lily Bac­chiochi notched the goal, while Ruffo picked up her third shutout.

The fi­nal was a re­match of game one where the Fal­cons faced Em­brun for the EOSSAA cham­pi­onship.The Fal­cons had to set­tle for sil­ver, though, as their sto­ry­book sea­son came to an end with a 3-1 loss.
