Holy Trin­ity Catholic Sec­ondary School handed out hard­ware to its top ath­letes at its 15th an­nual ath­letic awards ban­quet.

The ma­jor win­ners were: Jeremy La­tour (Senior Male Athlete of the Year), Kelly Bris­sard (Senior Fe­male Athlete of the Year), Al­yse But­ler and Cody Van Loon (Co-win­ners of Most Valu­able Con­trib­u­tor), Madi­son Ruffo (The Fal­con: Top Stu­dent-Athlete), Hai­ley Rose Kelly (Ju­nior Fe­male Athlete of the Year) and Ryan Stephens (Ju­nior Male Athlete of the Year).

At the same time, long-time coach Bruce Cic­carelli was hon­oured for his 29 years of ser­vice at St. Joseph’s and Holy Trin­ity.

NEW STINGER: Sara Car­rière, a stu­dent at L’École sec­ondaire catholique Le Re­lais in Alexan­dria, will join the Concordia Stingers soc­cer team in Septem­ber. The mid­fielder will en­rol in the Fac­ulty of So­ci­ol­ogy, work­ing to­wards here Bach­e­lor of Arts at the Mon­tréal uni­ver­sity. Sara re­cently par­tic­i­pated in the Stingers train­ing camp and was awarded a schol­ar­ship for her aca­demic and ath­letic achieve­ments.
