South Glen­garry’s by­law en­force­ment of­fice is cur­rently on pace to sur­pass the to­tal num­ber of res­i­dent com­plaints it re­ceived in 2018.

Ac­cord­ing to an in­for­ma­tion re­port in­cluded in the agenda pack­age for the July 2 reg­u­lar town­ship coun­cil meet­ing, the de­part­ment re­ceived 56 com­plaints be­tween Jan­uary 1 and May 31 of this year – af­ter han­dling a to­tal of 87 dur­ing all of 2018. Of this year’s to­tal thus far, 25 were prop­erty stan­dards-re­lated, 14 con­cerned an­i­mal con­trol, and seven re­garded zon­ing mat­ters.
