As­sault charges

Hugo Boulanger, 29, of St. Poly­carpe, Que., was charged with ag­gra­vated as­sault, as­sault with a weapon, and break and en­ter fol­low­ing an al­ter­ca­tion with an­other man at a res­i­dence on In­dus­trial Boule­vard in Alexan­dria July 13.

Mr. Boulanger was ar­rested by the Stor­mont-Dun­das-Glen­garry On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice de­tach­ment af­ter al­legedly break­ing into the other man’s res­i­dence at 9 a.m., and strik­ing him with a weapon.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the suspect and the vic­tim, who was trans­ported to hos­pi­tal with se­ri­ous, but non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries, know each other. Fol­low­ing his ar­rest, Mr. Boulanger was held in cus­tody pend­ing a bail ap­pear­ance in Corn­wall court.

South Glen­garry in­ci­dent

Alexan­dre Jean Seguin, 18, of South Glen­garry, was charged with as­sault caus­ing bod­ily harm June 23. He is sched­uled to ap­pear in Alexan­dria court Au­gust 14.

Driv­ing of­fence

The SD&G OPP charged Char­lie Fritzer, 20, of Cas­sel­man with driv­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle with­out a valid per­mit, and street rac­ing/stunt driv­ing fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop on High­way 417 in North Glen­garry in the early morn­ing hours of June 24.


The Corn­wall Com­mu­nity Po­lice Ser­vice charged a 22-year-old Mart­in­town man with three counts of breach of pro­ba­tion on July 8 af­ter he al­legedly con­tacted and con­fronted his ex-girl­friend’s boyfriend at her res­i­dence. The name of the suspect, who is sched­uled to ap­pear in court on Au­gust 8, was not re­leased as it could po­ten­tially iden­tify the al­leged vic­tim.

Corn­wall po­lice ar­rested Joshua Ushi­nahua, 34, of Sum­mer­stown, on July 3 on the strength of an out­stand­ing war­rant. Mr. Ushi­nahua al­legedly failed to ap­pear at the po­lice sta­tion for fin­ger­print­ing on March 11, lead­ing to the is­su­ing of the war­rant for his ar­rest. He is sched­uled to ap­pear in court on July 30.
