Sis­ters Race For A Cure Sun­day

This com­ing Sun­day, July 28, Dave Séguin will be rac­ing for much more than a spot in the win­ner’s cir­cle at the Corn­wall Speed­way.

The Ap­ple Hill pro stock driver will be or­ga­niz­ing the “Sis­ters Race for a Cure,” a fun com­pe­ti­tion to ben­e­fit the Grace Sci­ence Foun­da­tion, which is try­ing to cure NGLY1 de­fi­ciency.

“My three daugh­ters have NGLY1 de­fi­ciency which causes weak mus­cles, liver dis­ease and seizures,” ex­plains Séguin.

Rac­ers will be vy­ing for $1,000 in the 50-lap event.

Séguin will have ex­tra sup­port as mem­bers of his wife’s fam­ily are fly­ing in from the Mar­itimes for the pro­gram.

Séguin and Eric Jean-Louis will have their cars on dis­play from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fans will be able to make do­na­tions on the spot. Each do­na­tion will give the donor a chance to win one of two chil­dren’s bi­cy­cles. The draw will be held at in­ter­mis­sion time.

JLB Heat­ing and Cool­ing will be match­ing do­na­tions.
