Tax fuels upgrades
Roads and sidewalks in North Glengarry will be upgraded thanks to an additional federal government grant.
Expenditures of $326,504 are to be funded by the Federal Gas Tax Fund Top Up.
Proposed work submitted to council last week include $165,000 for the township’s share of the reconstruction of a section of Skye Road.
Another $65,000 will be spent on watermains, $56,004 on asphalt, $35,000 on guard rail work on Brodie and Mack’s Corners Roads and $5,500 for sidewalk and curb improvements on Macdonald Boulevard in Alexandria.
