All roads lead to Maxville this weekend (August 2 and 3) for the 72nd edition of the Glengarry Highland Games.

The Friday night Tattoo will showcase Next Generation Leahy as well as local talent, and a stirring military ceremony.

Chills will run down spines when the Games will be officially opened at noon Saturday. As the massed bands march onto the infield, the skirl of the pipes will fill the air. Special guests will be The Brigadoons, the group that has served as Glengarry’s ambassadors for decades.

About 20,000 people usually attend the event which will culminate with the sunset closing ceremony again featuring massed bands.
