41st Foot Race goes Sunday
The Great Raisin River Foot Race returns to Williamstown on Sunday August 11. This year the race is under the directorship of Beyond 21. Despite the change in leadership the 41st annual running of the race will maintain the traditions of the past 40 years. The race starts at the Sir John Johnson Manor House and features a 5K and 11K out and back run along the Raisin River. There is also a fun run for children. The 11K starts at 8:25 a.m., the 5K at 8:30 a.m. and the children's race at 8:15 a.m.
Race registration can be done online at www.raceroster.com until August 8. On-site registration will also be available day of the event until 8:15 a.m. at the Manor House.
If you live on the race route (William/Heron along the river) please note that the runners will be on the route from approximately 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. August 11. Organizers ask that dogs be kept secured so they do not wander onto the race route and if you need to use the road please do so with care and caution.
