Peter died sur­rounded by love on No­vem­ber 9, 2018. He was pre­de­ceased by his fa­ther, James, and his brother, Michael. He is sur­vived by his mother, Mary; step­mother, Sandy; his wife of forty-two years, Sally; his brother, John (Caro­line); sis­ter, Mar­garet (Neil); as well as his sis­ter-in-law, Anne (John); and brother-in­law, Jimmy (Nancy). He will be sorely missed by his chil­dren, Su­san (Noel), David, El­iz­a­beth; his grand­chil­dren, Daniel and Zoë; and god­son, Everett.

A long­time mem­ber of the Royal In­sti­tu­tion of Char­tered Sur­vey­ors, Peter re­tired from the Assess­ment Re­view Board in 2017. Happy mem­o­ries in­clude serv­ing with the PACT restora­tive jus­tice pro­gram, Scout­ing, to­bog­gan­ing at Duck Pond, sum­mers in Metis, fam­ily road trips to Dis­ney World, his friend­ship with the A.B.O.T.s, Box­ing Day par­ties, the an­nual Parkin­son Su­perWalk, and din­ners and wine with friends.

Peter died with Parkin­son’s dis­ease. His fam­ily wishes to thank the team at South Lake Re­gional Health Cen­tre for the tremen­dous care they pro­vided him.

A ser­vice will be held at Christ Church Ket­tleby on Wed­nes­day, No­vem­ber 14, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flow­ers, please con­sider a do­na­tion to the Southlake Re­gional Health Cen­tre Foun­da­tion’s Mar­garet Ba­hen Hos­pice Cam­paign.
