July 8, 1924 - Oc­to­ber 1, 2018 De­voted grand­fa­ther to Adam and Nicole King, fa­ther to daugh­ter Colleen and son-in-law, Terry. Pre­de­ceased by his wife, Bev­er­ley Cum­mings on May 15, 2004. Ron was an In­ter­na­tional Cus­toms Bro­ker and spent many years work­ing down­town in Toronto’s fi­nan­cial dis­trict. He and his wife Bev es­tab­lished many con­tacts through his busi­ness deal­ings which pro­vided great op­por­tu­ni­ties en­joy­ing Toronto’s the­atre and din­ing es­tab­lish­ments with their large cir­cle of friends. Ron loved magic, pho­tog­ra­phy and was an avid speed skater; both he and Bev would spend count­less hours skat­ing at Var­sity Arena. Ron en­joyed all old movies and drew im­mense plea­sure lis­ten­ing to his large col­lec­tion of records cov­er­ing the spec­trum of jazz and clas­si­cal mu­sic. Bev’s pas­sion in­cluded cook­ing for the fam­ily and vol­un­teer­ing at the Toronto Gen­eral Hospi­tal, al­ways there to of­fer a warm smile to pa­tients and their fam­i­lies. Ron, Bev and Colleen spent many sum­mer va­ca­tions on the shores of Lake Nipiss­ing at North Bay. Both grand­par­ents were very proud of their grand­chil­dren, spend­ing count­less hours cheer­ing on Adam’s NT hockey games and Nicole’s NT fig­ure skat­ing com­pe­ti­tions. In re­cent years , Ron had an op­por­tu­nity to hear all the in­ter­est­ing sto­ries from his grand­kids per­tain­ing to their ex­pe­ri­ences as stu­dents at the UWO. A pri­vate cer­e­mony was held at Mt Pleas­ant Cemetary on Oc­to­ber 10th fol­lowed by a cham­pagne toast cel­e­brat­ing both Ron and Bev’s won­der­ful lives.
