CAROLE JESSIE BOUZIDE
( née Morrow)
We are heartbroken at the passing of our Mom, our Sito and Dad’s biggest champion, Carole Jessie Bouzide. We are filled with gratitude to have shared a lifetime of love with her.
Carole passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on November 23, 2018, her daughter Michelle’s birthday. Carole will be missed, more than she could ever know, by her husband Victor; her daughters Michelle and Cheryl; her grandsons Griffin and Jackson; and her sons-in-law Mitch Perkins and Mark McKee. Carole was a positive force, with an immense flare for style. She was whip smart, unfailingly kind, gracious, generous, quietly elegant and curious about the world.
She was born in Winnipeg on April 8, 1938 and grew up in the west end as the only child of Molly and Dr. R.C. ‘Doc’ Morrow. Carole trained as a Medical Laboratory Technician at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. She and Victor met in Toronto and moved to Windsor, where Carole worked at a private medical lab in Detroit’s storied Fisher Building and the Medical Labs of Windsor. She made many lifelong friends at ‘the lab’. As with everything she did, Carole brought great integrity to her work.
Upon retirement, Carole started a new life in Vancouver with Victor and was the backbone behind the success of ‘Nuba’ restaurants’. She spent her last years close to her daughters and grandsons in Toronto and was so happy to see the success of her daughter Michelle’s restaurant, ‘Little Sito’. It’s hard to conceive of life without Carole. She was a fundamental part of our lives.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Blondal, Dr. Hopfner, Nurse and the special team at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, for their extraordinary care and support for Carole and our family. Your kindness means more than you know.
At Carole’s request, cremation has taken place and family and close friends gathered for a lovely dinner in her honour. Carole asked that if you care to make a donation to a charity of your choice, please do. We will host a Celebration of Carole’s Life in Toronto, around the time of her birthday in early April. We will invite family and friends to join us. We love you forever, Mom...Sito... Carole. Sleep tight, sweet dreams.
