The Globe and Mail (Prairie Edition) - - BIRTH AND DEATH NOTICES -

Age 89, surrounded by family peacefully passed away December 3, 2018. An exceptional woman leaves an indelible impression of how to live life. In Bev’s own words she wrote:

Thank you for all your love and support my darling daughters and superb sons. Thank you for the special moments and precious memories my shining grandgirls and grandboys. To my dear brothers my deepest l ove and t hanks f or everything. To my extended family I was so lucky to have all of you and my marvellous in-laws and partners to my children. To my cherished and incomparable friends thanks for your wonderful company. Good-bye to all the lucky men I’ve loved. My enduring love to that special man. How privileged I was to have been a citizen of two countries. Oh Canada glorious and free! God bless America! I enjoyed books, films, music, theatre and travel. And let’s not forget the pleasures of wining and dining! I was a lifelong activist. My last words, Courage All! We can change the world! Don’t lie, especially to yourself. "Tend your garden, Let it be, Love is all." Heartfelt thanks from Bev’s family to the Providence Manor staff in Kingston, ON who so tenderly cared for Bev. Family and friends are invited to a memorial celebration on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Shermont Condo Party Room at 650 Lawrence Ave. West, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
