Alice was born February 1, 1931 in Toronto, Ontario to the loving parents of Norman and Margaret Chisholm. Alice had three sisters; Mary Oakes, Edith Birkett and Norma Chisholm (deceased), who shared a close bond with each other and cottage life on Gull Lake during childhood. That close sister bond never lessened.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Matthew ( Angela), Samantha (Layne), Ben, Liam, Rachel, Lauren, Jade, Maclaren, Lindsay, Jeff, Jillian and Jamie and great-grandmother to Stevie. Alice was a loving Aunt to the Birkett, Oakes and Kettle families.

Alice began her nursing career in 1952 at Sick Kids Hospital and met the love of her life, Don, at a youth group dance at Timothy Eaton. A week after meeting him she left to work as the sole nurse on Bella Bella island off the west coast. Don waited patiently for Alice, and when she returned home they married and raised six kids in Mississauga until they retired in Alliston and Florida. Alice and Don were devoted parents and many of their fondest memories were with their children, siblings and their spouses and at the cottage with their extended f amily of nieces and nephews. Alice always had an aura of peace and contentment. Her greatest legacy is her strength, ease at which she laughed, compassion, kindness and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed.
