Goderich Hydro and ERTH Corporation partner to donate $50,000 to Recreation Park Project
The Goderich Recreation Park fundraising campaign received another big boost this month thanks to donations from Goderich Hydro and ERTH Corporation totaling $50,000. Goderich Hydro Inc. is an energy-services based company that provides electricity distribution services to over 3700 business and residential customers in the Town of Goderich. ERTH Corporation is owned by eight municipalities and provides products and services in the utility, energy retailer, municipal, and commercial industries. They have offices throughout southwestern Ontario and own local distribution company, Erie Thames Powerlines.
Together, the two corporations have partnered to donate a total of $50,000 towards the revitalization project.
When asked about their contribution, Bob Cornish, Chair of Goderich Hydro says: “Goderich Hydro, in partnership with Erie Thames Power, is pleased to contribute to the Agricultural Park Revitalization project. Many Local Distribution Companies donate to projects in their own Municipalities. This project will provide a much-needed recreational infrastructure for many years to come and will provide a venue second-to-none.” ERTH’s president and CEO, Chris White, agrees. “ERTH Corporation is proud to be partnering with Goderich Hydro in its sponsorship support of the Goderich Park Revitalization Project. It’s been amazing to see the efforts of the community come together in creating this center piece for recreation.”
The Revitalization Committee recently met with Goderich Hydro and ERTH to thank them for their generous donation to the project.
