Huron County Crime Stop­pers and the Huron County OPP are ask­ing for your as­sis­tance in solv­ing the fol­low­ing:

* Rash of on­go­ing mis­chiefs to com­mu­nity mail­boxes in var­i­ous lo­ca­tions through­out the re­gion. The un­known sus­pects gain en­try to the mail­boxes by pry­ing open the mas­ter locks and, in some cases, gain en­try to mul­ti­ple mail­boxes at one time. Mail in­clud­ing parcels are the tar­get.

* Theft of tires and rims from a busi­ness stor­age lo­ca­tion in Cen­tralia. Sus­pects at­tended the stor­age lo­ca­tion and gained en­try by pry­ing off ply­wood sid­ing. In one case, there were 12 sets of tires left out­side for col­lec­tion by sus­pects at a later time.

* Theft of snow­mo­bile and trailer. Some­time be­tween 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sun­day, Nov. 25 2018, un­known sus­pects at­tended a Winthrop Road ad­dress, Cen­tral Huron and stole an en­closed trailer with a snow­mo­bile in­side. They have since been re­cov­ered in a gravel pit near Parr line.

* Theft of a com­mer­cial grade log split­ter from a Wal­ton busi­ness. On Mon­day, Nov. 19, 2018 at ap­prox­i­mately 12:35 a.m. two un­known sus­pects ac­cessed the prop­erty by cut­ting the gate chain and then pushed the log split­ter to an await­ing ve­hi­cle. The stolen Wal­len­stein split­ter, Model WE230 is black and blue and val­ued at $2,300.
