The New 2021 Polaris Matryx!

I sat down with Dustin Krezinoski, Salesperson at J and J Sports to find out more about the exciting new 2021 Polaris sleds,especially the new Matryx chassis.

“The Matryx is a brand new chassis Polaris has introduced which is a little more rider forward than the AXYS chassis. At the front of the seat just before the gas tank you are 4 1/2 inches narrower so when you are riding it is a lot easier to maneuver with out the wider seat. It will be easier to corner and use your body to jump from side to side. The powder track running boards go right to the front with the hole knockouts to allow the snow to fall through. The new pod and gauge is unbelievable with so much technology. The storage room behind the gauge is nice as well,” said Dustin.

“The seat is a flat seat now and there are 8 liters of storage under it. The fit and finish of the tunnel is excellent with non visible wiring to the back now. The new LED headlight makes the sled look so nice and is very visible.”

Polaris has a new 650 Patriot engine!

“The new 650 engine is based off the 850 with smaller cylinders and has 10% more power than the previous

600 engine. People who have ridden the new sled say the 650 is comparable to the old 800 engine.”

Is the new Matryx chassis a game changer?

“The new chassis provides more control to the rider. The AXYS chassis is still a phenomenal ride and we have already done some 2021 snow checks of the AXYS sleds. They are both nice units and work well.”

There are many options to consider with the Matryx.

“You can order the new Matryx with 3 different track options- 1.25 ice ripper, 1.375 cobra regular or 1.5 Storm, different shocks and colours as well as electric start.”

“I was at the introduction of the new Polaris Matryx dealer show in Texas and went through all the seminars and saw how they came up with the design. Under the seat is a graphic that shows the 5 different approaches to the sleds over the years.”

There is a new guage on the VR1?

“The gauge has the buddy tracker to see where everybody is on the trails. You can adjust the gauge look to you with different information visible. You can even connect with your phone to see calls that are coming in.”
