Dino Dunsford special guest at tonight’s Ceilidh in the City

-

Ceilidh in the City is down to its final show of the season, and as the season draws to an end, the musicians are pleased to have saved their best entertainer to the last.

Ceilidh guest co- ordinator Kendall Docherty has announced that Dino Dunsford is coming back for his third guest appearance of the season at the last show, to take place tonight at the Charlottetown Legion.

Dunsford who wowed crowds with his first appearance back in July and again in September, is proving to be the No. 1 fan favourite for both the 2011 and 2012 season. Dunsford will be joining hosts Docherty and Peter Burke as well as the Ceilidh Band, featuring Brian Knox, Heartz Godkin and Adam MacGregor for a wonderful evening of down- home Island music.

Dunsford has been entertaining Islanders and visitors for the past 40 years and is well- known for his voice, stage presence and energy, both on and off the stage.

Dunsford has been a guest on the Legion stage for many years in various forms such as Dino & the Satins and other wellknown groups for which he was the front man. In recent years, Dunsford has also developed a new loyal fan base through his group, Dino & the Harmonies, which has just finished a summer concert series at the P. E. I. Preserve Company in New Glasgow with many nights filled to capacity with people filling the decks to hear his music.

The ceilidh will be held in the newly renovated Clover Club room of the Royal Canadian Legion, 99 Pownal St., Charlottetown. This fully licensed and air conditioned space offers a great place to see some wonderful Island music and has hosted a different special guest entertainer every week since the last week of June.

The final show of the season runs 7: 30- 9: 30 p. m. with regular admission at the door ( admission also includes free coffee and tea). All 19 and over are welcome. There is also a 50/ 50 cash draw as well as freshly baked treats from the kitchen, with the proceeds going towards Legion activities in the community.
