The funeral for Faith A. Ramsay ( nee Lynch), of Charlottet­own and formerly of Portage, was held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, from the Hennessey Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church where the funeral mass was celebrated by Reverend Andrew MacDonald who delivered the homily. The funeral pall was placed by daughters, Fran Dowling and Sharon Peters. The lessons were read by daughter- in- law, Lucille Ramsay, who also offered the prayers of the faithful, and granddaugh­ter- in- law, Danielle Ramsay. The funeral mass was sung by St. Pius X choir under the direction of organist Eileen Flanagan. During the funeral mass the choir sang the entrance hymn, Here I Am Lord; the offertory hymn, Peace Prayer; the communion hymn, Bread of Life; and the recessiona­l hymn, Lord of All Hopefulnes­s. The post communion hymn, Amazing Grace, was rendered by Susan Campbell. The pallbearer­s were grandsons, Chris Peters, Jason Ramsay, Justin Ramsay, Shawn Dowling, Aaron Ramsay and Jamie Ramsay. Flowerbear­ers were greatgrand­children, Katie Ramsay, Drew Acorn and Charlie Hill. Honorary pallbearer­s were everyone in attendance. Among those attending the funeral liturgy were representa­tives of APM, CARI Centre, UPEI, Bell Aliant, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Hospice Palliative Care volunteers. The interment took place in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery where Reverend MacDonald held the graveside service.
