Helen Catherine MacDonald ( nee Brazel), formerly of Saint Andrew’s, died peacefull y Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Beach Grove Home in Charlottet­own, in her 87th year. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Joe ( Wilfred) MacDonald, and daughter of the late Mary and Tom Brazel of Fanningbro­ok. Helen will live on in the hearts of her children: Ann of Ottawa, Angus ( Lorna DunphyMacD­onald) of Marshfield, Terrence ( Marion) of Savage Harbour, Bernard ( Lucy) of Cornwall, George ( Ann) of Savage Harbour, Jean Hughes ( Gary) of Saint Andrew’s, Aletha ( Leo Myers) of Saint Andrew’s, Florence Coffin ( Albert) of Savage Harbour, Heather Mary MacDonald ( Alex Graham) of Dartmouth; her sister, Louise Trainor of Fanningbro­ok; sisters- in- law, Laura Brazel of Hamilton, Ontario, Mena MacDonald of Stratford, Maureen Howlett of Rollo Bay; brother- inlaw, Danny MacDonald of Sussex, N. B.; 24 grandchild­ren; numerous great- grandchild­ren; and nieces and nephews. Helen was predecease­d by sister, Mildred Cummisky; by her brothers, Aeneas and Oswald Brazel; brothers and sisters- in- law, Jack Trainor, Jim Cummisky, Alan and Lorena MacDonald, Theresa MacDonald, and Stephen MacDonald. She will be resting at the North Shore Funeral Home in Morell, for visitation on Friday, November 8, 2013, from 2- 4 p. m. and 7- 9 p. m. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 3 p. m. at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Mount Stewart, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in Helen’s memory, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P. E. I. Funeral arrangemen­ts entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
