On Friday, January 20, 2017, surrounded by her family at her home in Bethel, Julie (Carmichael) Jackson quietly passed from this life into one of greater purpose. Left to mourn and remember are Jim, her beloved husband of 39 years; her children Darren (Meighan) Peters, Jamie (Lisa), Jody (Jillian), Tara (Tim), Steven (Samantha), Brenda (Peter), Linda, and Jeannie (Bill); her grandchild­ren Anna, James, Dylan, Sean, Sky, Bridget, Hunter, Chris (Christina), Jordan, Vanessa (Ben), Taylor (Kyle), Danny (Melissa), Anthony, and Sophie ; great grandchild­ren Keagan, Phoenix, Farren, Caidance and Charlotte; dear friend and father of Darren, Winston Peters; best-friendsfor­ever, Cecilia Walsh MacGillivr­ay; sisters and brothers Genevieve, Dan, Margie (Mike), Noreen (John), Leona and John (Liz); sister-in-law Patsy Carmichael; sister-in-law Hilda Dragisic and brothers-in-law Richard, George (Josephine), Edward (Margo) and Tommy (Debbie) Jackson; countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predecease­d by parents John and Mary (Murphy) Carmichael; sister Kelly and brothers Duncan and Urban; brothers-in-law Kenneth FitzPatric­k and Allison McKenna; sisters-in-law and brothers-inlaw Helen Perrot, Rita Robinson, Lucille Morrison, Gertie Bradley, Joe Jackson, Alex (Jr.) Jackson and Bill Cain. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottet­own Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferre­d to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Montague for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Joachim’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Centre, the Autism Society of P.E.I. or QEH Foundation.
