Extending school year

- BY LETRE SWEETING

University of Prince Edward Island students will have three extra days tacked on to the end of their school year after storms caused missed classes this winter.

Since January, both UPEI and Holland College have been closed for a total of six days due to weather conditions and concerns for students’ safety.

UPEI’s senate decided to extend the school’s current semester for three days and sent a statement to students and faculty in an email last week.

Classes will now end on Friday, April 7.

Over at Holland College, the administration has decided not to extend the semester.
