An educationa­l session, Personal Tools for Stress Release/ Relief will be presented by the Council for Health Improvemen­t through Research and Practice on April 22 at the Cotton Centre in Stratford, 9-11 a.m.

Men’s Spiritual Journey Group, led by Gilles Michaud, meets at the Martha Spirituali­ty Centre at SDU Place on Great George Street on April 22, 10 a.m. until noon. Cost is $5 per session. All interested Christian men are welcome. To inquire or to register, contact legil@pei.sympatico.ca.

Fundraiser­s

A giant yard sale is Saturday, April 22, in the auditorium of Spring Park United Church, Charlottet­own, 8 a.m. to noon, with household goods, books, puzzles, children’s toys and jewelry (use the Trafalgar Street entrance). Coffee, tea and snacks will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the church, the United Church Women’s group and the youth group. Come early for the best selection.

The St. Eleanors Lioness cold plate take out is Saturday, April 22, 4-6 p.m. The meal includes turkey, ham, salads and dessert. Advance tickets are available by calling 902-436-9380 after 4 p.m. Proceeds will go to community service.

A pot luck supper is April 22 at St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church, Cardigan on Saturday, April 22 with serving 4-6 p.m. The price for adults is $10 and children under 12, $5. Enjoy an assortment of main dishes and lots of desserts.

Ham and potato scallop supper is Saturday, April 22, 6 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall. The Prince of Wales Masonic Lodge is fundraisin­g for Bike for Books for St Jean and Mount Stewart schools. Spring into Spring Brunch is Sunday, April 23 at the Dunstaffna­ge School Centre, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Brunch includes pancakes, sausages, baked beans, quiche, biscuits, muffins, jam, juice and tea or coffee. Tickets are available at the door or phone Karen at 902 368-2804. Admission is adults, $8, children ages six to 12, $5, under six, free.

Special service

Ecumenical Vigil for the Lost Children of P.E.I. is April 23, 7 p.m., at St. Dunstan’s Basilica, a memorial and healing service of prayer, testimony and song for the children of P.E.I. who have been lost to miscarriag­e, abortion, accident, illness, etc.
