The first of the Tuesday Talks at the Acadian Museum in Miscouche is July 4, 7:30 p.m. This talk, in French, will recall Dr. Reid and his wife, nurse Bernice Reid, of Wellington, who contribute­d to the well-being of their community for 40 years. Their daughters, Claudette Arsenault and Cheryl Doucette, as well as their nephew, Jean-Paul Arsenault, will share their memories. Members of the audience will also be invited to share their own memories. Admission is free; donations are appreciate­d.

Wednesday Evening with L.M. Montgomery returns to the Bideford Parsonage Museum, 784 Bideford Rd. (Route 166), Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. July 5 will be the 106th anniversar­y of Montgomery’s marriage to Rev. Ewan MacDonald.

The Acadian Museum in Miscouche features an exhibition titled “Miscouche of Bygone Days’’ to help commemorat­e the 200th anniversar­y of the parish of Miscouche (1817-2017). The public is invited to an open house at the Acadian Museum and to view this exhibit on July 2, noon to 5 p.m. Historian Georges Arsenault will be present to serve as guide in the exhibition. There is free admission. The exhibition will be on display until the end of the year. The museum also has numerous photos and artifacts from its collection which illustrate the rich history as well as the social and cultural life of the villages of Miscouche and St. Nicholas. Bideford Parsonage Museum, a designated Historic Place of P.E.I., was built in 1878, on the North Cape Coastal Drive, 784 Bideford Rd. (Route 166) in Ellerslie-Bideford. Aspiring writer L.M.
