Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots set for Sept. 9 in Summerside

-

“Our foundation board and staff are truly fortunate to have the Ellises and Summerside Chrysler Dodge back this year. Because Warren and family take care of the expenses and tickets sales, it means our foundation can dedicate 100 per cent of the dollars raised to our mission of providing medical equipment for Prince County Hospital.” Patrick McSweeney

The Prince County Hospital Foundation has announced that the ninth annual Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots will take place Sept. 9 at Credit Union Place in Summerside.

Once again it will be presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge and organized by Warren Ellis and family in conjunction with the PCH Foundation.

This event supports the medical equipment needs of patients at PCH. This year alone, the PCH Foundation is working to raise $2.5 million to purchase medical equipment at PCH which includes $1.4 million needed to refit the operating rooms.

“Our foundation board and staff are truly fortunate to have the Ellises and Summerside Chrysler Dodge back this year,” said PCH Foundation president Patrick McSweeney. “Because Warren and family take care of the expenses and tickets sales, it means our foundation can dedicate 100 per cent of the dollars raised to our mission of providing medical equipment for Prince County Hospital.”

Guests will be treated to an evening filled with music and laughter at one of the largest fundraising events on P.E.I. this fall. Entertainment will include Patrick Ledwell, Catherine MacLellan, Laurel Drake and Neon Moon, among others. The ticket price of $100 includes a lobster and steak dinner, music, comedy, live auction and a chance to win a new Jeep Wrangler Sport courtesy of Summerside Chrysler Dodge.

“It’s the biggest event of the fall season, and we’re thrilled to be back for another year,” said Ellis. “The community has made an incredible impact through this event and since 2008 we’ve raised $4,175,000.00 for important life-saving medical equipment. We can’t wait to see how our supporters come on board this year.”

Tickets are on sale now and can be obtained by calling 902-853-7160, visiting Summerside Chrysler Dodge or by contacting the PCH Foundation at 902-432-2547 or visiting their office in the lobby of PCH.
