Slow trip in and out of Charlottetown
Vehicles and drivers wait their turn to come through the intersection at Capital Drive and North River/Lower Malpeque roads Thursday afternoon. For some throughout the day, it turned out to be a much longer wait than normal with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction as the City of Charlottetown did some preliminary work for a culvert project that will be undertaken in the fall. At the time this picture was taken, traffic had backed up, delaying access to the city from the west. Similar work is expected today, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
